Our puppies have AKC Champion sires and dams, all born and raised either at Magpie Shih Tzu, SarJan’s Shih Tzu or Ascher Shih Tzu thus ensuring the quality and health of the dogs we raise.
Our puppies are raised in our living room with all the hustle and bustle of everyday life and around our other pets. As soon as they leave the nest they are free to start eating the same dog food their Mother eats.
We start giving our puppies baths every week at about six weeks of age. At eight weeks they are evaluated to determine whether they will become show prospects or loving pets. They receive their vaccinations at nine, twelve, and sixteen weeks of age, and they are wormed before going to their new homes at twelve weeks. We love our babies and want them to be emotionally and physically ready for the transition from our home to yours.
We are unable to entertain visitors not well known to us in the interest of protecting our dogs and puppies against infectious and contagious diseases.
When someone gets a puppy from us we meet them part way, or send them with a pet nanny (at Purchaser’s expense) if a flight is necessary for delivery to their new home.
We breed to the AKC standard of 9 to 16 pounds and the puppies will be in that range as a general rule. All Magpie Shih Tzu’s puppies sold as pets are on AKC limited registration and a spay/neuter contract. NO puppies that we offer as pets are sold with full registration/breeding rights. Show puppies may be available to serious exhibitors only.
Puppies will not leave prior to 12 weeks of age as recommended by the American Shih Tzu Club.

1) Generations of carefully planned breedings designed to create a happy, healthy, well bred puppy. (Currently co-owning and breeding with SarJan’s Shih Tzu and Ascher Shih Tzu)
We are just as proud of the pet puppies we place as we are of the show puppies we keep and finish!
2) One year written health guarantee against any life threatening hereditary diseases.
3) Veterinarian wellness puppy check-up. Vaccinations and wormings current to age of puppy at time of placement.
4) A Goodie bag with dog food to get you started for the first few days, potty pads, pick up bags and puppy safe toys.
5) Depending on location, ask us about meeting you half way.
6) Us! We are here to help with any questions that may arise through out your puppy’s life.
Puppies are priced at $2000 for males and $2500 for females. A non-refundable deposit of $750.00 will hold your puppy. We will accept a personal check for the deposit only. Please send deposit priority mail and provide us a tracking number.
You may also send deposit via PayPal or Venmo. Balance is payable via cash, or bank certified check. Details will be provided for payment of balance.
Puppies will be held for 5 days awaiting deposit.
If deposit is not received in that time, the puppy will be taken off hold and made available for another family.
